RECOM

Are you a voluntary sector organisation?:
This is a voluntary sector organisation

ReCOM is a local charity.

We provide refurbished computers to charities and individuals in need. Prices start at £75 for a Pentium 4 with Windows XP and Office 2003. An application form can be found on our web site. www.recom.org.uk.

We offer a range of community based training such as Silver Surfer classes. Tailored training can also be offered to local groups at reasonable rates.

We help the disabled and disadvantaged enhance their lives by providing access to information technology through:

  • affordable refurbished computers available to charities, community groups and individuals across the country
  • training programmes in the Solihull and Birmingham area

We have a growing number of activities:

  • Computer Clubs for the over 55s in North Solihull, Shirley, Acocks Green and Kings Heath;
  • IT training for charities and community groups;
  • Support to people in their homes through our IT@Home Project;
  • Helping people with disabilities and low income families get online through the Access IT project.

Volunteers and professional tutors both play a vital role in helping us deliver this programme.

We are based in Acocks Green. For more information email: info@recom.org.uk; telephone 0121 765 5282
