Giving people a Voice
ipadioWithin the sector we want our clients to be heard and to provide compelling ways in which the work we do can be heard by our funders and supporters. Using this article and a few minutes on the internet, you will be able to broadcast live voice from your mobile, computer or telephone.
The system we are looking at is called IPADIO (an IP Radio).
The ipadio concept is simple, you call a number on your phone, type in your key code and then you are broadcasting to the web. It will allow you to broadcast Live! So for those public meetings you can let everyone hear what is going on and it also records the meeting so people can play it back at any time. You can interview, volunteers and clients to say how your organisation helps, achieves and delivers the outcomes that matter to people.
Go to www.ipadio.com and click on the register button, fill in your name and telephone numbers (including mobile) and your email address and you will be sent a number to call and a pin number, so no one else can broadcast in your name.
Then dial the number, enter your pin and... That's it, you are now broadcasting live, your Phlog (Phone Blog) is being created on the ipadio site and you can download, edit or embed it into your website or emails.
This is a free service that allows anyone a voice irrespective of literacy levels, dexterity or computer skills, if they can use the phone they can broadcast their message.
What will you use it for?
